B.Tech Bio Engineering M.Tech.(Biomedical Tech) is a 4-year programme. Bio-Engineering and Bio-Informatics is a two-year post-graduate programme designed to expose students to recent exciting developments in the area of Bioengineering & Bioinformatics and their application in industry, agriculture and medicine.
The curriculum of the programme provides students with a strong background in Bioengineering followed by more specific knowledge in the area of choice. The proposed programme focuses on research and education aimed at developing science & technology and new areas of study.
The course is designed to give the students enough exposure to the variety of applications that can be built using techniques covered under this program. The objective of the course is to integrate technology with the medical sciences in such a manner that the synergistic relationship between them can help evolve a better system for medical diagnosis, research, treatment, and support systems.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Bio-Engineering + M.Tech.(Biomedical Tech)
1. Applicants must have a 10+2 qualification from a recognized board on Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in Class 12th.
2. Applicants must achieve at least 50% to 60% of the points in the relevant proficiency tests.
3. Eligibility conditions for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PwD categories will be 45% marks in the qualifying examinations.
4. Applicants must not be younger than 17 at the time of application.
Admission Process
1. Colleges publish admission notices on their website from June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.
2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark the cut-off mark.
3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.
4. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.
5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
6. Some of the entrance exams for BTech are JEE Main, WBJEE, JEE Advanced, KCET etc.
